Work package 2 focuses on designing/developing models and methods for a variety of fundamental plenoptic data processing problems.

The research in this work package is divided into six tasks, which are also ESRs’ individual projects:

  • Noise modeling and denoising in heterogeneous point clouds (ESR3, TAU-TUB-Volograms)
  • Learning algorithms for inverse problems with new imaging modalities (ESR5, INRIA-MIUN-Foundry)
  • Gated experts compression of light field video (ESR9, TUB-MIUN-SpinDigital)
  • Noise reduction and super-resolution of light fields (ESR10, TUB-IOMT-IMEC)
  • Representation and compression of multi-sensor video for combined human and computer vision applications (ESR12, MIUN-INRIA-ERI)
  • Dimension reduction of deep network models for mobile computational plenoptics (ESR13, MIUN-TAU-BT).
