We attended the PLENOPTIMA training school about Machine Learning for Plenoptics and a research communication workshop held in MIUN, Sweden.
We were able to get the opportunity to listen to various experts in the field. In training school, lectures taught us about the fundamentals of machine learning and several advanced topics for plenoptics such as; autoencoders, variational autoencoders, and transformers.
In the workshop, topics on NABC Pitching, the publishing process, scientific presentations, and scientific writing were covered. Besides the importance of the technical aspect of research, presenting the outcomes in a scientific way was emphasized. Additionally, hands-on practices were made to improve the general understanding of topics.
Overall, attending this event offered us a great opportunity to develop new competencies. It was also nice to visit the beautiful town of Sundsvall and meet again the members of the consortium in person.
